The Takoma Park Open Mic is sponsored by House of Musical Traditions and takes place at Capital City Cheesecake every Sunday from 6pm to 9pm. We welcome all manner of performance & your host rob Hinkal of the band ilyAIMY will endeavour to make you feel welcome. Performances are limited to two pieces / 10 minutes (whichever's shorter) & are broadcast Live & archived atwww.ustream.tv/channel/ilyaimy. Sign up in person when the doors open at 5.30pm sharp. Capital City Cheesecake has a wonderful menu of sandwiches & wraps & beers & wines & of course, fantastic cheesecake.

Tonight we have featured artist Cooking with Gas. Cooking With Gas serves fine acoustic music featuring generous portions of blues seasoned with jazz, swing, gospel and folk. Formed in the Spring of 2011, CWG includes David "Takoma Dave" Rothman on vocals & blues harp, David Oziel on guitars & vocals, Jim "Gutbucketeer" Bunch on washtub bass & washboard and Marcus Childs Moore on jazz/blues fiddle & vocals.
